GLENDA MAE SHELTON Peacefully, after a courageous struggle with heart failure, we sadly announce the passing of our beloved mother, Glenda Mae Shelton in her 70th year, at the Health Sciences Centre, November 3, 2004. Mom will be sadly missed by her daughters, Nancy Buchan (Ed) and Catherine Shelton (Trevor). Besides her children, she leaves to mourn three grandchildren, Lei Buchan, Kory and Kaitlin Miller. Son of her life partner Don Black and his family. She was born in Winnipeg March 24, 1934 to Archie Merkley and Iva Forbes who preceded her respectively. Mom grew up in Winnipeg on Garfield Street with her four sisters, Georgina, Shirley, Gwen, Jean and two brothers, Edward and Brian. She worked as a dental aide in her early years, later in retail and in her final years in marketing. In her spare time she gave unconditionally to many volunteer and charity organizations. The family wishes to thank the staff and nurses on 4GA Health Sciences Centre for their compassionate care in her final days. Glenda has been cremated and a private service in accordance with her wishes. The family gratefully declines flowers but would appreciate donations be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba in her memory. "Eternal rest give to her O Lord!
